Why the Guild exists

Good work is easy to find if you already know who to call.

Most trade businesses in Tennessee get their work the same way they got it thirty years ago — a truck, a phone, and word of mouth. Word of mouth is honest, and it's slow, and it stops at the county line. Meanwhile the person with water coming through the ceiling is posting in a Facebook group hoping a stranger knows a guy. We built a shorter road between the two.

We check what we can check, we publish what we find, and the hiring decision stays where it belongs: between you and the person standing in your driveway.

Nobody is turned away. There is no limit on how many businesses can hang a banner in a county. Tier buys a bigger share of the rotation, never a seat somebody else can't have. Two members on the same tier in the same county get the same share of the top spot — the order rotates. We don't rank you by reviews, by how long you've been here, or by your name.

What every member signs

  • You hold every license, permit, and registration your work requires — and you tell us within 10 days if any of it lapses.
  • You carry current general liability insurance, and we hold a copy of the certificate.
  • Everything on your profile is true. You indemnify the Guild for claims arising from your work or from anything you told us that wasn't so.
  • We can pull your banner down the same day for false information, no refund.
